Reliable droplet separation for industrial gas treatment

Mesh pads are widely used for the efficient removal of liquid droplets from gas streams, helping protect downstream equipment, improve process efficiency, and reduce liquid carry-over.

Available in a wide range of materials, configurations, and performance grades, our mesh pads are designed for demanding industrial environments.

WHAT IS A MESH PAD?

Efficient gas-liquid separation technology

A mesh pad, also known as a wire mesh demister, is installed inside vessels, scrubbers, absorbers, and process columns to remove entrained liquid droplets from gas streams.

As gas passes through the mesh structure, droplets collide with the filaments, coalesce into larger droplets, and drain away under gravity.

Commonly used for:

Droplet removal
Carry-over prevention
Scrubber performance improvement
Equipment protection
Process efficiency enhancement

HOW MESH PADS WORK

A Proven separation process

Gas entry

Contaminated gas enters the vessel containing the mesh pad.

Droplet impaction

Liquid droplets collide with the mesh filaments.

Coalescence

Small droplets combine to form larger droplets.

Drainage

Coalesced droplets drain through the mesh structure.

5

Separation

The liquid phase is removed from the gas stream.

6

Clean gas exit

Treated gas leaves the vessel with significantly reduced droplet content.
