Industrial Dust Removal

Industrial processes release fine and coarse dust particles that can pose severe health, safety, and environmental risks. These airborne particulates damage equipment, contaminate production areas, and cause air quality violations if not properly treated.

Ecosystems designs and supplies advanced industrial dust removal systems that eliminate particles down to sub-micron size — combining wet scrubbing, Venturi, and DynaWave® technologies for up to 99.9% particulate removal efficiency.

Our systems ensure compliance with EU Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) and BAT-AEL standards while maintaining low energy use, minimal maintenance, and long-term operational reliability.

Why dust control matters

Airborne dust is more than just a nuisance — it represents a complex mixture of solid, liquid, and organic matter, often containing toxic compounds or heavy metals. Without effective control, it can:

Harm operators’ respiratory health and violate workplace limits
Cause abrasion and fouling in fans, filters, and heat exchangers
Create explosive or combustible atmospheres in confined spaces
Pollute surrounding areas, leading to environmental non-compliance

Dust particles range from visible coarse particles (>10 µm) to ultrafine particulates (<1 µm) that remain suspended and travel long distances. Ecosystems’ dust removal systems capture both — ensuring clean air, safe operation, and regulatory peace of mind.

How our dust removal systems work

Ecosystems employs a range of wet and hybrid scrubbing technologies engineered for high-performance dust removal in challenging process conditions.

1. Wet scrubbing — universal particle capture

In this process, the gas stream is washed with water or liquid reagent, transferring particles from air to water.

Efficient removal of soluble and insoluble dusts
Continuous washing prevents re-entrainment and clogging
Ideal for corrosive or high-temperature gases
Modular design enables easy integration into existing exhaust systems

2. Venturi scrubbers — high velocity for fine particulate control

Venturi scrubbers are designed for high-energy particle capture using accelerated gas–liquid contact.

Sub-micron particulate removal via droplet impaction
Handles variable dust loading and temperature fluctuations
Self-cleaning design prevents fouling
Pressure drop: typically 25–50 mbar

These are ideal for metal processing, incineration, fertilizer, and glass production applications.

3. DynaWave® Reverse-Jet Systems — for harsh and dust-loaded gas streams

The DynaWave® wet scrubber uses multiple reverse jet nozzles that generate powerful turbulence, enabling extreme cleaning performance even in hot, dirty, or abrasive gas environments.

Handles high dust concentrations and sticky particulates
Operates reliably on hot gases (>200 °C)
Low maintenance — no internals prone to plugging
Excellent SO₂ and particulate co-removal for combined gas and dust control

Together, these technologies form a comprehensive dust abatement solution adaptable to virtually every industry.

Regulations and safety

All Ecosystems dust removal systems comply with global air emission frameworks:
